Scholarship Program: Awarded for 2021!

The Caregility Cares Scholarships have been awarded for 2021.  Click here to read the announcement.

In February, 2021, we launched the Caregility Cares Essential Worker Scholarship Program. The scholarship program will award five $5,000 scholarships to high school seniors, undergraduates, and graduate students throughout the United States who are healthcare workers or dependents of healthcare workers, and who are pursuing a degree in nursing or other health care majors.

Students can apply for the Caregility Cares Essential Worker Scholarship through May 31, 2021, by submitting an essay of 500 words or more on what has inspired them to pursue a career in a health-related field through an easy, web-based application hosted by The University Network. Scholarship winners will be announced in June of 2021. Caregility plans to continue the scholarship program on an annual basis.

Supporting Unsung Health Care Heroes

At Caregility, we believe that any organization’s values must include giving back.  And this has never been more important than within the healthcare community.

Every day we read stories of first responders, healthcare workers, and the medical community going above and beyond to bring relief to those in need.  They have shown courage, selflessness, and compassion in a world that, quite frankly, sometimes seems to be short on all three.

So we decided to do our part, here at Caregility, to find ways to recognize these individuals, thank them for their contributions, and to help them in their pursuit of a career in healthcare.

In the initial phase of the program, Caregility Cares awardees (health professionals and first responders) earned donations to a non-profit that they selected. In addition, as part of Caregility’s partnership with Chip Ganassi Racing, each award recipient’s name was been placed on the passenger side of the No. 1 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 1LE driven by former Daytona 500 and NASCAR Cup Series (NCS) Champion Kurt Busch, who drove in the 2020 NASCAR Playoffs. The recognition program has been renewed for the 2021 season with the No. 42 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 1LE, driven by Ross Chastain.

Recognizing Frontline Workers

In 2020, Caregility teamed up with Chip Ganassi Racing to sponsor the No. 1 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 1LE, driven by former Daytona 500 and NASCAR Cup Series (NCS) Champion Kurt Busch, beginning with and throughout the 10 races that make-up the 2020 NASCAR Playoffs.  As part of the sponsorship, and in order to honor the incredible contributions frontline healthcare workers have made throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, we launched Caregility Cares, a program designed to recognize individuals who have worked tirelessly to care for, protect and restore the health of patients impacted by the coronavirus.

The first initiative was identifying an individual each race week and recognizing them by having their name placed on the passenger side of the No. 1 car driven by Kurt Busch.  The recognition program included a pre-race meet and greet video conference with Kurt and the awardees family and promotion of their contributions through media channels.  It is our intention to continue this recognition program into 2021.
