Caregility Earns International Privacy Data Management Certification

Addition of ISO 27001 and ISO 27701 certifications verify gold standard security risk mitigation for Caregility Virtual Care Platform end users.

Eatontown, N.J. – Mar. 10, 2021– Caregility, a company dedicated to delivering care to wherever the patient is located through the use of the Caregility Virtual Care Platform, announces the company has earned two privacy and security certifications. The ISO 27001 certification validates that Caregility meets requirements for establishing, implementing, maintaining, and continually improving its information security management system (ISMS). The ISO 27701 certification, a new globally recognized privacy standard and extension to ISO 27001, demonstrates that Caregility has an effective privacy information management system (PIMS) in place to protect customer and stakeholder data. ISO 27701 also verifies that Caregility complies with GDPR and other applicable personally identifiable information (PII) regulations.

As more hospitals embrace video streaming services such as inpatient telehealth and continuous patient observation, these certifications ensure decreased risk related to privacy and information breaches for Caregility Virtual Care Platform customers. To date, Caregility is one of the few health IT companies to achieve ISO 27701 certification, which was introduced in August of 2019. To earn the certifications, Caregility worked with qualified certification body Schellman and Company, LLC, which conducted a thorough and intensive internal audit of Caregility’s ISMS and PIMS systems. The results of Caregility’s audit revealed zero evidence of nonconformity. Caregility’s status will be maintained through annual surveillance audits and full reassessment every three years.

Caregility Launches Scholarship Program for Frontline Healthcare Workers

Eatontown, N.J. – Feb. 11, 2021– Caregility, a company dedicated to delivering care to wherever the patient is located through the use of the Caregility Virtual Care Platform, announces the launch of the Caregility Cares Essential Worker Scholarship Program. The scholarship program aims to help fund the pursuit of higher education degrees in the field of medicine for healthcare workers and their families by awarding five $5,000 scholarships to high school seniors, undergraduates, and graduate students throughout the United States who are healthcare workers ordependents of healthcare workers pursuing a degree in nursing or other majors related to healthcare.

Students can apply for the Caregility Cares Essential Worker Scholarship through May 31, 2021, by submitting an essay of 500 words or more on what has inspired them to pursue a career in a health-related field through an easy, web-based application hosted by The University Network. In its inaugural year, five $5,000 scholarship winners will be announced in June of 2021. Caregility plans to continue the scholarship program on an annual basis as part of its overall Caregility Cares campaign honoring and supporting frontline healthcare workers.

Gene Huang and Vance Moore Appointed to Caregility Advisory Board

The appointees bring over 60 years of combined healthcare experience to their new roles with the virtual care solution provider.

Eatontown, N.J. – Jan. 6, 2021 – Caregility, a clinical collaboration and communications company moving the access point of care closer to the patient, announces the appointment of Gene Huang and Vance Moore to the Caregility Advisory Board. Huang and Moore will bring operational guidance to Caregility’s efforts to support healthcare’s Quadruple Aim by enabling the fastest path to care with the right caregiver and treatment plan.

Gene Huang brings over 30 years of experience building healthcare businesses – including health services companies, health plans, provider organizations, and, most recently, payment reform and value-based care initiatives in the post-acute setting for skilled nursing facilities – to the new role with Caregility. He currently serves as CEO of CapZone Healthcare, a venture focused on curating healthcare investment opportunities in low-income Opportunity Zones.

Prior to that, Huang led a multi-state physician home visit company that was sold to CIGNA, built and managed the Medicare Advantage (MA) business for multiple health plans, built Chronic Special Needs Plans for Aveta, and ran the nationwide 24-hour nurse line for IntraCorp/CIGNA HealthCare. Over the last six years, Huang led the post-acute business for Remedy Partners, the largest player in the CMS Bundled Payment for Care Improvement program. He is an active investor in healthcare ventures and a graduate of Cornell University with a Masters in the Management of Technology from MIT.

Vance Moore brings over 35 years of experience in healthcare operations and supply chain management to the new role with Caregility. He currently serves as the founder of RocketStop, a healthcare advisory services firm that specializes in helping organizations optimize customer impact and market potential. He recently retired from Mercy where he served over 18 years leading innovation and development of Mercy’s supply chain, technology, and decision science divisions, most recently serving as president of business integration for Mercy Virtual.

Prior to Mercy, Moore garnered 17 years of experience in health care with Baxter/Allegiance/Cardinal Health and the healthcare division of the UPS Logistics Group. He is on the governing committee of the National Evaluation System for health Technology (NESTcc) and is a board member of Omnicell Incorporated, L.E.K Consulting’s life science and med-tech expert network, and Mission:318. He was recognized as SCM World’s 2015 “visionary of the year” and was inducted into the healthcare supply chain hall of fame in 2019.

Caregility Announces Release of Version 1.9 of iObserver Virtual Observation Application

Yorktel Celebrates the Launch of a New Subsidiary Focused on Telehealth Communications

Eatontown, NJ(September 19, 2019) Yorktel, a leading provider of IT services and solutions to include managed services for enterprise, healthcare, and public sector customers worldwide, announced the spin-off of its extremely successful healthcare practice to form a new company, Caregility. The new company will be comprised of Yorktel’s entire healthcare practice team and focus on enabling end-to-end virtual care and communication solutions to the healthcare industry. Both Caregility and Yorktel will be separate subsidiaries of YTC Holdings.

Poised for growth in a rapidly expanding market, Caregility has developed a platform with a suite of software and related services which is offered as a Software as a Service (SaaS) business model to better serve its healthcare customer base. The new business structure has Caregility leveraging and extending Yorktel’s incumbent healthcare expertise, while enabling Yorktel to focus on growing its closely-knit set of AV, IT and collaboration solutions.
