Ben Cassidy is an experienced Registered Nurse MBA/MSN with a demonstrated history of working in the health care industry for over 15 years. His current clinical focus is on the Medical Device Industry, Tele-ICU, Virtual Patient Observation, & Virtual Nursing workflows. He also has prior experience in Medical, Neuro, and Cardiac Intensive Care. Ben’s medical device experience includes Virtual Health, Urology, & Critical Care.
Christie Clark, MSN, RN, NE-BC
Director of System Nursing Operations, OhioHealth
Christie Clark MSN, RN, NE-BC, is the Director of System Nursing Operations at OhioHealth. In this role, she provides leadership for the Flex Team, Virtual Patient Observation, and Virtual Nurse Program, overseeing innovative staffing models that support multiple care sites across the system.
Christie has been with OhioHealth for 6 years, holding progressive leadership positions prior to her recent promotion to director. She is passionate about building agile workforce solutions, leveraging technology to enhance patient care, and developing future nurse leaders. With extensive experience in clinical operations and system-level nursing strategy, Christie is dedicated to advancing both patient outcomes and associate engagement across diverse clinical environments.
Marguerite (Maggie) Cunningham, DNP, NEA-BC, NI-BC, VP
CNIO, Inova
Dr. Marguerite Cunningham is Vice President, Chief Nursing Informatics Officer, and VP Nursing for the Medicine Service Line for Inova Health System. Dr. Cunningham lends her expertise to leading multidisciplinary teams in the transformation of the electronic health record (EHR) to improve clinical care delivery, promote better patient outcomes and decrease healthcare costs. She has extensive experience, education and certification in leadership and the field of Nursing Informatics including Nurse Executive-Advanced (NEA-BC), and Nursing Informatics (NI-BC). From 2024 – 2025 Dr. Cunningham was one of 20 nurse leaders participating in the Johnson & Johnson Nurse Innovation Fellowship powered by Penn Nursing and the Wharton School. As a fellow, she developed and prototyped a bolt-on, staffing collaboration platform for nurse leaders allowing them the freedom to collaborate virtually in real-time to determine staffing placement across their five-hospital health system.
Dr. Cunningham has expertise in using the EHR for research and clinical transformation. Her primary area of interest focuses on using innovative approaches to leverage technology in supporting bedside nurses and the care team in providing excellence in clinical care that improves patient outcomes; and using decision support tools to identify opportunities to decrease the burden of nursing and clinician documentation.
Since 2022, Dr. Cunningham led five, large-scale intradisciplinary improvement events involving more than 450 front-line team members. In each event, both clinical and non-clinical team members collaborated to propose, develop and prototype potential solutions for some of healthcare’s biggest challenges. The output of these events helped accelerate work that decreased nursing documentation burden, increased compliance with bar code med administration scanning, developed an app to support the educational needs of new graduate nurses, and developed the framework for a virtual nursing program. Current efforts are focusing on acute care redesign and standardization of remote monitoring for cardiac telemetry.
She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from Villanova University, PA; a Masters of Science in Nursing from the University of Pennsylvania, PA; a Doctor of Nursing Practice from Vanderbilt University, TN, and a certificate as Executive Leader in Health IT from the University of Colorado.
Steve Dean
Senior Director, Virtual Care, Inova
Steven Dean, MSHI, is Senior Director, Virtual Care, for the Inova Health System,
a five hospital system in the Northern Virginia region. He has been involved in telehealth
for 18 years serving in operational and administrative capacities. Steve is a past Chair of
the mHealth Special Interest Group for the American Telemedicine Association, member of the
Virginia Telehealth Network, and a current advisory board member and consultative partner of
the Mid Atlantic Telehealth Resource Center. He is a recognized speaker in virtual health,
created a pre-conference curriculum in mobile health for ATA, and co-authored the teleICU
guidelines for ATA. His expertise is technical administration of telemedicine and mobile services.
Ilona Edwards, MSN, NI-BC, CSSGB
Sr. Director, Virtual Care, Inova
Ilona Edwards, MSN, NI-BC, CSSGB, Senior Director of Virtual Care, has been with Inova for 32 years. She has extensive experience as a bedside nurse, nurse educator, unit director, informaticist, Epic build analyst, and director of analytics and informatics before joining the virtual care team in 2024. This wide breadth of experience brings a unique perspective to virtual care, combining clinical knowledge and technical knowledge to better inform the strategic decisions of the team. She is passionate about unburdening the care team and sees virtual care as a great opportunity to leverage technology to improve the work lives of clinicians while improving patient outcomes.
Ron Gaboury
CEO, Caregility
As CEO of Yorktel, Caregility’s predecessor company, Ron helped establish the firm’s leading position in the videoconferencing market. Under Ron’s leadership, Yorktel began developing a completely new video communications platform created for the healthcare industry, spanning both software and purpose-built point-of-care devices, all designed specifically for the unique requirements of patient care.
Building on this success, in 2019, Caregility was formed to further advance the development of the Caregility CloudTM platform and product line. Ron remains CEO of both Yorktel and Caregility.
In this capacity, Ron provides strategic guidance and is responsible for acquisitions, investments and overall business expansion.
Kedar Ganta
Chief Product & Engineering Officer, Caregility
Ganta brings twenty years of senior leadership experience in enterprise-scale and cloud-native applications to his role at Caregility. Previously he served as Head of Product for Global Growth Verticals at Cisco Systems, where he was responsible for driving expansion in healthcare and other industry verticals and oversaw the development of Augmented Reality (AR) solutions for frontline workers. Prior to that, Ganta shaped digital product strategy in technical leadership roles at athenahealth, GE Healthcare, and Microsoft.
Bin Guan
Chief Innovation Officer, Caregility
As Caregility’s Chief Innovation Officer, Bin is responsible for delivering a competitive advantage in the industry by identifying the most advanced collaboration and telehealth technology and translating it into solutions that provide the most value for Caregility customers. His primary focus is the creation of a multiyear technology roadmap based upon current and future vendor product development plans. Bin has over 20 years of experience in video conferencing, rich media, unified communication solutions, and internetworking.
Cheryl Hiddleson, MSN, RN, FCCM, CENP, CCRN
Director of Patient Care Services-Inpatient Virtual Care, Emory University
Cheryl is the EHC Director of eICU Operations. She has been a registered nurse in Georgia for 35 years. She practiced at the bedside for 20 years with a primary focus on critical care. She also has a background in patient logistics and flow management. She is a member of The Society of Critical Care Medicine and a Fellow of Critical Care Medicine (and is an active member of their Tele ICU committee), The American Association of Critical Care Nurses, American Telemedicine Association, and the American Organization of Nurse Executives
Cheryl was directly responsible for the development of the Emory eICU Center and continues to have clinical and operational oversight of the program. Over the last 5 years she has also become involved in research and development of various remote monitoring and predictive analytic applications focused on reducing serious complications for critical care patients. She is Adjunct faculty with the Emory School of Medicine, department of Biomedical Informatics.
Cheryl led the development and implementation of an international program involving intercontinental delivery of tele critical care services for Emory eICU patients by geographically distributed teams, and most recently has also had primary oversight of the development of Virtual Observer and Virtual Nursing programs at Emory. She is committed to advancing innovative care delivery models related to tele-ICU and telehealth locally, nationally and internationally, to promote quality care for all patients regardless of location or local resources.
Rachael Hodny, MBA
Shared Asset Admin – Hospital Operations, Mayo Clinic
Rachael Hodny serves as the Shared Asset Administrator within Hospital Operations at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota. With 24 years of service at Mayo Clinic and over 15 years of digital health experience, she leads strategic initiatives that drive operational efficiency, clinical innovation, and digital transformation across hospital practice settings.
Rachael has played a key role in deploying Caregility technology in over 1,200 inpatient rooms, including high-impact areas such as the Nursing Simulation Lab and Emergency Department. Her leadership has supported the integration of HL7 data, RTLS, and digital signage to streamline workflows and enhance bedside care.
Known for her collaborative approach, Rachael works closely with cross-functional teams—including nursing, clinical innovation, and IT—to ensure seamless implementation of pilot programs and go-live strategies. She has served on multiple committees, including Quality, Patient Care Communication System, Hospital Virtual Care, and Patient Experience.
Rachael holds a Master’s degree from Minnesota State University – Winona.
Sean Johnson, MHA, BSN, RN
Chief Applications Officer, Salem Health
Sean Johnson is the Chief Applications Officer at Salem Health, where he leads teams responsible for Epic applications,
data analytics, and technology strategy. With over 27 years of experience in healthcare, he began his career as a nurse
in 1997 and transitioned into health IT in 2000. He has successfully led Epic implementations at three major health systems
and has built high-performing teams in technical services, analytics, and population health. In addition to his leadership
role at Salem Health, Sean teaches in the Master of Health Administration program at the University of Southern California.
His work centers on equipping healthcare leaders with the tools and insights needed to drive value-based care and alternative payment models.
Danny Kennedy
Corporate Director of Care Innovation, Baptist Health
Danny Kennedy is the Corporate Director of Care Innovation at Baptist Health, Arkansas’s largest not-for-profit health system. In this role, Danny leads strategic initiatives that integrate emerging technologies into care delivery, with a focus on improving access, quality, and operational efficiency across the enterprise.
With a background spanning healthcare technology, digital transformation, and clinical innovation, Danny has been instrumental in advancing Baptist Health’s virtual care strategy. He has helped guide the organization’s expansion of inpatient telehealth, including virtual nursing and observation programs that support more than a dozen facilities in the state.
Danny collaborates closely with clinical, IT, and operational leaders to drive the adoption of scalable connected care models that meet the evolving needs of patients and providers. His work reflects a deep commitment to reimagining care delivery in ways that reduce clinician burden, improve patient outcomes, and extend the reach of Baptist Health’s mission.
Tracey Kopenhaver, MSN, RN, CCRN
Nurse Director, VirtualCare+, Geisinger
Tracey Kopenhaver, MSN, RN, has over 27 years of clinical nursing, program development, and leadership experience. She obtained her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Mansfield University in Mansfield, Pennsylvania. Her clinical background includes staff nurse in critical care, acute care, and cardiac cath lab settings. Currently, she is the Operations Manager for Geisinger Inpatient Virtual Care with oversight of the Virtual ICU, Virtual Observation, Virtual Nursing, and Virtual Telemetry programs. Tracey joined the Virtual ICU leadership team at Geisinger in 2011 and has been instrumental in creating and developing the Virtual Observation, Virtual Nursing, and Virtual Telemetry programs.
Susan Kristiniak, DHA, MSN, RN, NEA-BC, AHN-BC
CNO, Caregility
Susan joined Caregility in January 2025 as Chief Nursing Officer. In this role, she leads efforts in clinical integration and product support for all customers, vendors, and clinicians. Her focus will be on developing a holistic framework that enhances both clinical care and operational strategies through virtual care delivery models, serving healthcare systems across the U.S. and internationally.
With over 40 years of diverse nursing experience, Susan brings deep expertise spanning critical care, women’s health, palliative care, and executive nursing leadership in both rural and urban community healthcare systems and academic medical centers.
Prior to joining Caregility, Susan served as Vice President of Clinical Integration and Quality Assurance, where she led initiatives in healthcare data analytics and the implementation of software technologies aimed at improving operational efficiency, productivity, and quality/safety outcomes.
Susan holds a Doctorate in Health Administration and a Master of Science in Nursing with a focus on Integrative Health. She is certified as a Nurse Executive and as an Advanced Holistic Nurse. She has presented internationally, published research, and serves as an adjunct faculty member at Drexel University.
Matt Kull
Chief Information & Digital Strategy Officer, Inova
Matt Kull is Chief Information and Digital Strategy Officer for Inova Health System, where he manages all aspects of Inova’s technology and digital strategy.
Matt has more than 25 years of experience in technology, with 15 of those years in a variety of healthcare settings including hospitals, pharmacies, and regional oncology and disease management facilities.
Prior to his role at Inova, Matt was the global Chief Information Officer at Cleveland Clinic, a global medical system with more than 200 care sites and 75,000+ employees. He had global responsibility for all digital and technology functions across the enterprise. During his five years there, Matt led the technical expansion of Cleveland Clinic’s footprint to more than 15 sites, including hospital and acute care settings, in the Florida region and the ground-up construction of a world-class 184-bed hospital in London. He developed partnerships leading to industry innovations such as the first IBM Q-system quantum computer deployed in a healthcare setting, as well as the first newly constructed hospital with dedicated 5G infrastructure in the United States.
Preceding his role at Cleveland Clinic, Matt served as Senior Vice President and Chief Information Officer for Parkland Health & Hospital System in Dallas, Texas. While at Parkland, he led technology efforts within the construction of Parkland’s new, fully digital, 2.7 million square foot hospital campus. Upon its opening, this new campus was lauded as one of the most technically advanced hospitals in the world.
Matt has held leadership positions at internationally recognized enterprises including AmerisourceBergen, McKesson and NTT. He has also spent a number of years as a management consultant advising on technology strategy to organizations across multiple industries.
Matt holds a master of business administration from the Edwin L. Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University in University Park, Texas, and is a Certified Healthcare Chief Information Officer (CHCIO). He maintains professional affiliations with College of Healthcare Information Management Executives (CHIME) and Healthcare Information and Management Systems Society (HIMSS). Additionally, he has won numerous industry awards, including CIO of the year awards in both Texas and Ohio.
Debra Marinari, DNP, RN, NE-BC
Associate Vice President, Nursing, Mary Washington Healthcare
Dr. Debra (Deb) Marinari is the Associate Vice President of Nursing Operations at Mary Washington Healthcare in Fredericksburg, Virginia. She earned her DNP in Executive Nurse Leadership from Baylor University and has more than 30 years of experience in both clinical and administrative nursing roles. Deb is passionate about advancing innovative care delivery models, including virtual nursing, to meet the evolving needs of patients and the nursing workforce. She is a dedicated advocate for nurses and a champion of excellence in nursing practice.
Kourtney Matlock, MHSA
President of Baptist Health Rehabilitation Institute & System Post Acute Services, Baptist Health
Kourtney Matlock is the President of Baptist Health Rehabilitation Services and Post Acute Care.
In addition to overseeing 3 Rehabilitation facilities, 23 therapy centers, 4 home health agencies,
and 2 hospice agencies, she also is responsible for Innovation programs across the system. She has
been with Baptist Health in Arkansas for 15 years and has focused most of her work on the patient
experience across the care continuum. She has a passion for how to optimize quality, patient experience,
employee satisfaction, and operations through the use of tools, data, and centralized teams.
Kathleen McGrow, DNP, MS, RN, PMP, FHIMSS, FAAN
Global Chief Nursing Innovation Officer, Microsoft
Dr. Kathleen McGrow is the Global Chief Nursing Innovation Officer at Microsoft, where she leads strategic initiatives in digital health transformation. Her work focuses on addressing workforce challenges, enhancing patient and provider engagement, and advancing cognitive computing to support a learning health system.
Dr. McGrow earned her Doctor of Nursing Practice from the University of Maryland, Baltimore. With a background in trauma critical care and health IT, she brings deep expertise to the intersection of clinical practice and emerging technologies. She is a recognized thought leader in the application of artificial intelligence in healthcare, with notable publications including “Foundation Models, Generative AI, and Large Language Models: Essentials for Nursing” and “Implications of Artificial Intelligence for Nurse Managers.” Her most recent work is her book, “Empowering Nurses with Technology: A Practical Guide to Nurse Informatics,” published in January 2025.
In addition to her role at Microsoft, Dr. McGrow co-chairs the HIMSS Nursing Innovation Advisory Committee and serves as an adjunct clinical instructor at the University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Nursing.

His focus is on delivering clinical, technology and business value so our customers achieve their goals of delivering better patient care. He is a pioneer, innovator, and leader in the field of telehealth video and communications solutions with over 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry. Pete has served in various strategic, business development, and sales leadership positions at healthcare technology manufacturers such as Rubbermaid Healthcare, Johnson & Johnson, and Zimmer.
April Saathoff, DNP, RN
CNIO, Johns Hopkins Medicine
April Saathoff is the Vice President and Chief Nursing Information Office at Johns Hopkins Health System, is Adjunct Faculty for the University of Maryland School of Nursing and served as the President of Maryland’s Chapter of the American Nursing Informatics Association through 2020. She has 24 years of nursing experience, with 21 years focused on nursing informatics. She is certified in Healthcare Information Management Systems and Nursing Informatics and has extensive experience in large- and small-scale healthcare technology implementations.
Maureen E. Sintich, DNP, MBA, RN, WHNP-BC, NEA-BC
Chief Nurse Executive, Inova
Maureen Sintich, DNP, MBA, RN, WHNP-BC, NEA-BC, is the Chief Nurse Executive and
Executive Vice President at Inova Health System. In this role, she leads Inova’s
nursing professional practice team and six chief nursing officers representing
Inova’s five hospitals, ambulatory care sites, and nursing informatics. She also
provides strategic oversight for Advanced Practice Providers (APPs), ensuring their
integration into care delivery models to enhance patient outcomes.
Before joining Inova in 2017, she served as Senior Vice President and Network Chief
Nursing Officer at Hackensack Meridian Health in New Jersey and held leadership roles
at Wake Forest Baptist Health in North Carolina. With over 20 years of experience,
Maureen has led initiatives in nursing strategy, staffing standards, patient experience,
and population health.
She earned a BSN from the University of South Alabama, an MSN from UTHealth Houston, an
MBA from UNC-Greensboro, and a DNP from Chamberlain College of Nursing. She is certified
as a Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner and Nurse Executive-Advanced. Maureen is a member
of several professional organizations and received the Distinguished Alumni Award from
Chamberlain College in 2017. Passionate about fostering healthy work environments, she
emphasizes high reliability and shared governance to enhance patient care and nursing practice.
Tammy Talys, RN
Director, Virtual Care Operations, Penn State Health
Tammy Talys, a registered nurse, is the director of virtual care operations at Penn State Health. She leads day-to-day operations for all virtual care services, providing management oversight, program development, reporting of quality metrics and development of future use cases for telehealth initiatives.
Jennifer Watkins, MSN, RN, CNML
Nurse Manger, Cone Health
Jennifer Watkins has 28 years of experience as a nurse. She has a Master’s Degree in Nursing Administration from Liberty University. She has held certification as a Certified Nurse Manager Leader since 2014. Her professional interests are innovation in healthcare delivery and lifestyle medicine. She has been a nurse leader in various roles for the last 16 years, and has been with Cone Health for a total of 26 years. Her current role is Nurse Manager of the Centralized Cardiac Monitoring Department, eLink TeleICU, and Virtual Nursing. Jennifer is a member of the North Carolina Organization of Nurse Leaders (NCONL) and the American College of Lifestyle Medicine (ACLM). She was awarded North Carolina Great 100 in 2020. Jennifer has two daughters, and in her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, doing resistance training, riding her motorcycle, and spending time at the lake.
