About Caregility

As CEO of Yorktel, Caregility’s predecessor company, Ron helped establish the firm’s leading position in the videoconferencing market. Under Ron’s leadership, Yorktel began developing a completely new video communications platform created for the healthcare industry, spanning both software and purpose-built point-of-care devices, all designed specifically for the unique requirements of patient care.

Building on this success, in 2019, Caregility was formed to further advance the development of the Caregility Cloud^TM platform and product line. Ron remains CEO of both Yorktel and Caregility.

In this capacity, Ron provides strategic guidance and is responsible for acquisitions, investments and overall business expansion.

With over 20 years of experience in A/V and UC industries, Michael has held executive positions with some of today’s leading services companies. As President and Chief Operations Officer, Michael drives efforts to expand and enhance Caregility’s offerings, improve operational efficiency and continue its commitment to customer satisfaction. Having served as CEO for Glowpoint and Executive Committee Member, as well as EVP at AVI-SPL, he brings an extensive level of expertise to the role of President & COO.

As Caregility’s Chief Financial Officer, Tod is responsible for providing management and oversight for the financial activities at Caregility, guiding corporate development efforts, evaluating financing alternatives, as well as overseeing the preparation of financial reports and summaries and working with the leadership team for forecasting and budgeting purposes. Tod has previously served as CXO and President for private and publicly-traded medium, early-stage, and large-sized middle-market companies assisting companies in driving top-quartile shareholder returns through rapid growth, turnarounds, consolidation and/or driving efficiencies. Tod pursues the governing objective of driving economic profit for the organizations he works with through building value-creating growth opportunities (i.e., new channels, markets, products, geographies); team building; P&L management; and value-based management coupled with change management while maintaining business continuity.

As Caregility’s Chief Innovation Officer, Bin is responsible for delivering a competitive advantage in the industry by identifying the most advanced collaboration and telehealth technology and translating it into solutions that provide the most value for Caregility customers. His primary focus is the creation of a multiyear technology roadmap based upon current and future vendor product development plans. Bin has over 20 years of experience in video conferencing, rich media, unified communication solutions, and internetworking.

As Caregility’s Chief Strategy Officer, Pete leads the company in maximizing success for all our customers. His focus is on delivering clinical, technology and business value so our customers achieve their goals of delivering better patient care. He is a pioneer, innovator, and leader in the field of telehealth video and communications solutions with over 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry. Pete has served in various strategic, business development, and sales leadership positions at healthcare technology manufacturers such as Rubbermaid Healthcare, Johnson & Johnson, and Zimmer.

Kelly McDermott leads Caregility’s global marketing and customer success efforts. She is an accomplished marketing executive with deep expertise in strategic planning, global marketing, customer success, lead generation, public relations, investor relations, customer retention, and sales operations. Much of her career has been spent in leadership positions with fast-growth companies in the technology sector, including voice, video and data communications, software, security, cloud computing, and systems integration.

Susan joined Caregility in January 2025 as Chief Nursing Officer. In this role, she leads efforts in clinical integration and product support for all customers, vendors, and clinicians. Her focus will be on developing a holistic framework that enhances both clinical care and operational strategies through virtual care delivery models, serving healthcare systems across the U.S. and internationally.

With over 40 years of diverse nursing experience, Susan brings deep expertise spanning critical care, women’s health, palliative care, and executive nursing leadership in both rural and urban community healthcare systems and academic medical centers.

Prior to joining Caregility, Susan served as Vice President of Clinical Integration and Quality Assurance, where she led initiatives in healthcare data analytics and the implementation of software technologies aimed at improving operational efficiency, productivity, and quality/safety outcomes.

Susan holds a Doctorate in Health Administration and a Master of Science in Nursing with a focus on Integrative Health. She is certified as a Nurse Executive and as an Advanced Holistic Nurse. She has presented internationally, published research, and serves as an adjunct faculty member at Drexel University.

Ganta brings twenty years of senior leadership experience in enterprise-scale and cloud-native applications to his role at Caregility. Previously he served as Head of Product for Global Growth Verticals at Cisco Systems, where he was responsible for driving expansion in healthcare and other industry verticals and oversaw the development of Augmented Reality (AR) solutions for frontline workers. Prior to that, Ganta shaped digital product strategy in technical leadership roles at athenahealth, GE Healthcare, and Microsoft.

Vance Moore brings over 35 years of experience in healthcare operations and supply chain management to the new role with Caregility. He currently serves as the founder of RocketStop, a healthcare advisory services firm that specializes in helping organizations optimize customer impact and market potential. He recently retired from Mercy, where he served over 18 years leading innovation and development of Mercy’s supply chain, technology, and decision science divisions, most recently serving as president of business integration for Mercy Virtual.

Prior to Mercy, Moore garnered 17 years of experience in health care with Baxter/Allegiance/Cardinal Health and the healthcare division of the UPS Logistics Group. He is on the governing committee of the National Evaluation System for health Technology Coordinating Center(NESTcc) and is a board member of Omnicell Incorporated, L.E.K Consulting’s life science and med-tech expert network, and Mission:318. He was recognized as SCM World’s 2015 “Visionary of the Year,” and inducted into the Healthcare Supply Chain Hall of Fame in 2019.

Gene Huang brings over 30 years of experience building healthcare businesses – including health services companies, health plans, provider organizations, and, most recently, payment reform and value-based care initiatives in the post-acute setting for skilled nursing facilities. He currently serves as CEO of CapZone Healthcare, a venture focused on curating healthcare investment opportunities in low-income Opportunity Zones.

Prior to that, Huang led a multi-state physician home visit company that was sold to CIGNA, built and managed the Medicare Advantage (MA) business for multiple health plans, built Chronic Special Needs Plans for Aveta, and ran the nationwide 24-hour nurse line for IntraCorp/CIGNA. Over the last six years, Huang led the post-acute business for Remedy Partners, the largest player in the CMS Bundled Payment for Care Improvement (BPCI) program. He is an active investor in healthcare ventures and a graduate of Cornell University, with a Masters in the Management of Technology from MIT.

Major General Granger is currently the President and CEO of THE 5Ps, LLC, a healthcare, education, and leadership consulting organization. MG Granger served as the Deputy Director and Program Executive Officer of the TRICARE Management Activity, Office of the Assistant Secretary of Defense (Health Affairs), Washington, DC, from December 2005 to May 2009. In this role, he was the principal advisor to the Assistant Secretary of Defense (Health Affairs) on DOD health plan policy and performance.

In his role leading TRICARE, MG Granger developed strong, value-based relationships with major insurers in order for them to serve as TRICARE affiliates. This required clear guidelines to assess and determine “best value.” A rigorous process was implemented to ensure clear requirements and criteria to manage these relationships to measurable, accountable outcomes.

MG Granger held oversight for the acquisition, operation and integration of TRICARE/DOD’s managed care program within the Military Health System. He led a staff of 1,800 in planning, budgeting and executing a $22.5B Defense Health Program and in ensuring the effective and efficient provision of high-quality, accessible healthcare for 9.2 million Uniformed Service members, their families, retirees and others located worldwide.

Prior to joining TRICARE, MG Granger led the largest U.S. and multi-national battlefield health system in recent history while serving as Commander, Task Force 44th Medical Command and Command Surgeon for the Multinational Corps Iraq. He has also led at every level of the Army Medical Department, with previous assignments as Commander, 44th Medical Command, XVIII Airborne Corps Command Surgeon and Director of Health Services, Fort Bragg, North Carolina, Commander, Europe Regional Medical Command, Director of TRICARE Europe, and the Command Surgeon, US Army, Europe and 7th Army, Heidelberg, Germany, Acting Assistant Surgeon General for Force Projection, Commander, Landstuhl Army Regional Medical Center, Landstuhl, Germany and Commander, Ireland Army Community Hospital, Fort Knox, KY, and attended Army War College, Carlisle Barracks, PA.

MG Granger has received numerous awards, decorations and honors, including the Defense Superior Service Medal, the Legion of Merit with three oak leaf clusters, the Bronze Star Medal, and the Meritorious Service Medal with four oak leaf clusters. He is
board-certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the Board of Hematology and Oncology, certified Physician Executive by the Certifying Commission in Medical Management, certified by the American College of Healthcare Executives, and Certified in Medical Quality by the American Board of Medical Quality. He holds a CERT certificate in Cybersecurity Oversight issued by the Software Engineering Institute of Carnegie Mellon University.

He earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Arkansas State University in 1976.and a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of Arkansas School of Medicine in 1980. MG Granger completed a residency in Internal Medicine in 1983 and a fellowship in Hematology-Oncology in 1986 at Fitzsimons Army Medical Center, Aurora, Colorado. The Honorable Dr. David J. Shulkin was the ninth Secretary of the US Department of Veterans Affairs in the Trump Administration and VA’s Under Secretary of Health in the Obama Administration. As such, Secretary Shulkin was the only member of the Cabinet to have served both Presidents and to have been confirmed by the US Senate by a vote of 100-0.

As Secretary, Dr. Shulkin represented the 21 million American veterans and was responsible for the nation’s largest integrated health care system with over 1,200 sites of care, serving over 9 million Veterans. VA is also the nation’s largest provider of graduate medical education and major contributor of medical research and provides veterans with disability payments, education through the GI bill, home loans, and runs a national cemetery system.

Secretary Shulkin is a widely respected healthcare executive having served as chief executive of leading hospitals and health systems including Beth Israel in New York City, Morristown Medical Center in Northern NJ, and currently advises leading health systems. Secretary Shulkin has held numerous physician leadership roles including the Chief Medical Officer of the University of Pennsylvania Health System, the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania, Temple University Hospital, and the Medical College of Pennsylvania Hospital. Secretary Shulkin has held academic positions including the Chairman of Medicine and Vice Dean at Drexel University School of Medicine. As an entrepreneur, he founded and served as the Chairman and CEO of DoctorQuality one of the first consumer orientated sources of information for quality and safety in healthcare. Secretary Shulkin has served on boards of managed care companies, technology companies, and health care organizations. He now works with healthcare organizations that are leading the transformation of medicine around the world.

Secretary Shulkin is a board-certified internist. He received his medical degree from the Medical College of Pennsylvania, his internship at Yale University School of Medicine, and a residency and Fellowship in General Medicine at the University of Pittsburgh Presbyterian Medical Center. He received advanced training in outcomes research and economics as a Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Clinical Scholar at the University of Pennsylvania.

Over his career Secretary Shulkin has been named “One Hundred Most Influential People in American Healthcare” by Modern Healthcare. He continues to advocate on behalf of the country’s veterans by serving on the board of numerous nonprofits that serve veterans, is the host of the popular Policy Vets Podscast, and is the author of the recent book, “It Shouldn’t Be This Hard to Serve Your Country: Our Broken Government and the Plight of Veterans”.

Dr. York Wang is a pioneering leader in video conferencing and telecommunication technologies. He currently serves on the Board of Directors for Caregility.

Dr. Wang was the founder of Yorktel, where the idea for Caregility was conceived, before it spun out as a stand-alone company. Under his leadership, Yorktel became a global leader in managed services for video conferencing and unified communications, serving both government and commercial markets. With offices throughout North America and EMEA, Yorktel provided enterprise-scale video solutions worldwide. Following Caregility’s successful launch in 2019, Yorktel was later acquired by private equity in 2024.

Prior to founding Yorktel in 1985, Dr. Wang was an early innovator in the videoconferencing industry. He played a pivotal role in product planning and systems engineering for digital video teleconferencing at Bell Laboratories, defining initial standards, subsystem interfaces, maintenance capabilities, and customer network control protocols.

Dr. Wang holds a Ph.D. and an MS in Solid State Physics from the University of Missouri at Columbia, as well as a specialist certificate in Quantum Electronics from the University of California at Los Angeles. He received a patent for his Equalizing Signal Combiner and has published several technical and business articles. His entrepreneurial excellence has been widely recognized—he was named New Jersey Minority Small Business Person of the Year in 2000 and Ernst & Young’s Entrepreneur of the Year® in Technology in 2009.
